A few weeks ago, I was talking with my Amazon account manager and he recommended adding more images – specifically lifestyle images – to my product listings. He thought this would make my listings more dynamic and engaging and stand out more to customers.
(In this context, lifestyle images are pictures that show people using your products in real life, everyday situations.)
I thought this sounded like a great idea, and it would be easy enough to implement. I also thought it would be good to do with my Etsy listings as well.
With the Low Hanging System, I normally tell people they don’t need to add a ton of images to their listings because I feel it’s better to focus on getting as many products up for sale as possible.
But since adding new lifestyle images is something I’m currently doing to my own shops, I thought I’d share some of the mockups my designers created for me. That way, you don’t have to create these images on your own.
All you have to do is download the mockups and add your own designs to them. Then, you’ve got yourself some really engaging, high-quality images to add to your stores that will hopefully help increase your sales.
I had my designers create product mockups including people of varying ages, races, and genders so you have a good mix to work with depending on your product’s design.
For example, if you have a coffee mug that says “Best grandma in the world,” you could use the mockup of an older woman holding a coffee mug.
Lifestyle images paint a picture for customers. Instead of looking at images of your products against a plain white background without any context, lifestyle images enable customers to envision your products in use, which subtly steers them toward purchasing.
You can check out a preview of the lifestyle product mockups my designers created below.
